Shakespeare came back into making baitcasting reels in 1995 after a period of making spincasters. The reel that was released was the low-profile Sigma reel. A few years later if further expands on that with the introduction of some round baitcasters. After a period of relative quietness, Shakespear also started to push the ever-popular Pflueger brand, which they had owned for around 50 years. It was soon on the rise and the range of premium products reached fishing fans worldwide.
They also showed the world that you don't have to always be deadly serious and there is plenty of room for fun in fishing too. They did this by introducing a fun range of shakespeare fishing reels that are aimed at children - now, you can take your kids fishing with you.
