The Pflueger Asaro reels stand out straight away due to their shape and at first look a little odd. However, that should not detract from what is otherwise a fine baitcaster.Although it might not look it at first glance it is a solid reel that is silky smooth, thanks to the one piece alluminium frame and sideplate.

It is incredibly smooth thanks to the 7 double shielded  ball bearings which give it an amazing first impression although oddly it can be a little rough on the retrieve despite this. With that said, the centrifugal braking system are much easier to get consistent results than some other reels I have used. The titanium line guide is a nice addition and although not a deal breaker, it is much better than seeing the plastic ones that cannot stand the test of time.

Despite the odd looking shape which this Plueger Asaro review will not mention anymore, it is more compact and lightweight that some other reels and it is highly ergonomic. Most aspects of the reel are silky smooth and would be a good investment for anyone considering trying out a baitcasting reel. Overall, it is a good reel but for the price, there are other reels that compare around the same level and are cheaper. However, if you look out for these baitcasters on ebay you should be able to pickup a bargain.
